This and That

I've had quite a lot of responses from guys who received the email letter I sent out yesterday, and from some of you who read it here. Almost all were heartwarming and made me feel very good. Many of you asked questions and many made suggestions, some excellent. I'll be responding personally to everyone I've heard from within the next few days.

Naughty Pup Goes Alpha Plus

At the end of IML the leather magazine Leatherati did a video interview with me, which I only saw for the first time the other day. I did tweet it, big twitterer that I am, but am not sure I did that right, so maybe giving the link here will work better.

 

Here, too, is a new piece from one of my favorite correspondents. I don't know why guys who practice puppy play as a lifestyle think he's wimping out, as the writer says in his first paragraph. You don't see many people leading human pups by leashes down the street. Which may only suggest I don't know what practicing puppy play as a lifestyle means. I love puppy play myself, but only do it behind closed doors.

 

PUPPYBOY TURNS TABLES ON OWNER/MASTER

 

I know a few guys who practice puppy play as a lifestyle, and that’s fine for them, but when I’ve described how Aaron and I play with it, they tell me we’re totally wimping out. I don’t really care, because we have a certain routine that works for us. But first let me explain my relationship with him.

This will be short, just some pics from yesterday, since today is closing day and we're hurrying to pack up, shut down my laptop (Lee keeps trying to pull the plug on me) and check out before going down to the market. The lucky victim in the pics, who messed up our magazine display no end, is a guy named Cody, one of our most beautiful models ever years ago, and beautiful still, these few years later. His victimizer is the incredible Tieguy7001 from Recon, whose ropework is nothing short of amazing. Sorry Cody isn't gagged in these pics; he did get gagged, but I found myself otherwise engaged when that happened and never got it on record.

IML Journal 3, May 26th 2013

11:00 am Chicago Time:

 

Yesterday was fantastic. The great Jason Branch helped work the stand for much of the day (that's him on the left, with Lee, if you don't recognize him; most people do), the crowds that came by and signed up were massive, and the practically unending bondage scenes we did between our table and the exit door drew crowds that often stopped traffic. The first one of those started with a fantastic mummification of an adorable Chinese boy by Bryan and Matthew. After wrapping him as securely as I've ever seen, he was stretched out on our table so people could sign their names on him with

 Matthew took this picture of Lee and me at our booth before the Leather Market opened yesterday. The lighting wasn't all it might be, but you get the idea.

 

I'd hoped to write something here last night, but by the time Lee and I got back to our room we both fell into bed. Now, in the morning, a brief recapitulation of yesterday, which was a wonderful day from start to finish, surpassing all our expectations.

11:30 Chicago Time

 

Got to Chicago yesterday early afternoon without incident, Lee and I and our beloved Matthew, who used to manage the B&G office and exerts a calming influence on the two of us. We haven’t bitten each other’s heads off yet. Our plane was an hour late taking off from Newark, but what else is new? Once arrived at the Marriott on Magnificent Mile (I’ve learned from more than one Chicagoan that it’s “Magnificent”, not “Miraculous”, as I punishably called it) we found our booth and eventually got our equipment, thanks to the great bunch of IML guys doing all the back end stuff here, then set up our booth, right across the aisle from Mr S. and diagonally across from Nasty Pig. Our area is small but will be adequate for us, we’ll just have to tie willing guys up into very tight packages; we'll have to use the rest of the space for giving away magazines and soliciting names and email addresses for the relaunch, the real purpose of our participation here.

Leaving for IML

I intended to write something this morning but it's been a bit frenetic around here lately, making sure that all the different things we wanted to ship got put together and out successfully and will arrive on time, so of course I never got around to it. Just finished packing and about to go to bed so we can get up and out to the airport at some unearthly hour, then sit around for a few hours remembering everything we forgot to do. Then Chicago, and the Marriott Hotel, and setting up our booth, No. 244. Hope all of you who are coming to IML will stop by and say hello.

B&G Preparing for IML

When the guys running IML heard we're planning to relaunch B&G this year they gave us a very generous offer for a booth at the Leather Market there.  It was certainly an offer we couldn't refuse, so we took it, and are busily putting together a bunch of stuff to ship out to Chicago.

 

This year, IML is taking place for the first time at the Marriott on the Miracle Mile. And please, those of you who will be attending, take this as a heads up to drop by our booth, No. 244. We'll be in the Chicago Ballroom on the 5th floor, and if we're reading the floorplan right, we're against the wall as you come in. We're told it's an excellent location. 

 

We're not going there to announce that the relaunch is taking place this month, or next, because that's planned for later in the year. But we do want to offer free goodies, which marketing people tell us is a good way to convince disbelievers and those who may never have heard of you that you're alive, and also tie some guys up, and primarily, for our purposes, acquire as many names and email addresses as we can for when the big relaunch does occur. And of course, if we find a bunch of really hot guys who want to do dirty bondage things just for the fun of it—since right now we're in no position to pay—we may even put together one or several bondage videos after hours.

 

I'll try to keep a running blog during the event, keeping those of you who can't make it to the Capital of the Heartland abreast of what's happening, but I don't want to make any promises I'm not sure I can keep.

B&G Relaunch Update

For those of you who think B&G is never coming back, despite my occasional promises, I just want you to know that we’re going to IML this year and have taken a booth in the Leather Market. Not that we’ll have all that much to offer there yet; our real purpose is to let people know we’re still very much alive, acquire email names and addresses of potential subscribers, and maybe tie up a few guys just for the fun of it. If any of you out there are planning to attend, I hope you’ll stop by our booth to say hello and drop your own names (and email addresses) in our fishbowl. Eventually there’ll be a drawing, and prizes. 

UPDATE ON RELAUNCHING BOUND & GAGGED

 

People keep asking me if Bound & Gagged is ever going to return, and I keep saying—and thoroughly believing—that it will, but relaunching the full new website has proven to be a slower business than we’d like.

 

Lee and I and our web-developing partner Bryan are going at it pretty much full steam ahead, but since we never got the funding that would have enabled us to hire people, just the three of us preparing our archive of well over 1,000 bondage stories, tens of thousands of photos (many of them never seen before), as well as gathering new material and preparing to make new streaming/downloadable videos—which we won't be able to do unless we get volunteers to help, since right now we can't afford to pay—is taking a long time. And that’s not even to mention the various other bells and whistles we've got planned for the new site, which we hope will prove a huge attraction but which, for the time being, we’re keeping to ourselves.

 

Ideally, we’d like to launch the new B&G at the next IML at the end of May, but even if that doesn’t happen, we’ve decided to give ourselves one more full year to get the new site up and running. If it doesn’t happen by then, well…

Sexual Writing

Before I begin, let me just say that the pictures accompanying this posting have nothing to do with what I’m writing here; I’m just including them because everybody loves seeing pictures, and they make reading the words beside them more palatable.

How to Ruin a Good Bondage Session

I've been asking almost everyone I meet on line to write me a few paragraphs describing a memorable bondage experience. That's pretty much how Bound & Gagged got started, with people writing me descriptions of their first, best, worst and most memorable experiences, basically as responses to essay questions on a questionnaire I sent them when they applied for membership in the New York Bondage Club, which I'd founded back in 1984. At the time I also took advantage of bondage correspondences I myself and friends of mine had had with potential bondage partners and with bondage partners who'd moved away yet with whom we'd stayed friends (for those of you not old enough to remember, be advised that Bound & Gagged was born in that prehistoric time when people wrote what used to be called letters to each other).

Back Home Again

Back home, after an exhausting and rewarding twelve days in Europe, mostly in Paris. Lee and I did, as usual, lots of sightseeing, which was particularly rewarding for me, since the French choice of footwear is truly a sight worth seeing, infinitely better than what you see in New York these days. Hightop Converse All Stars are all the rage, unfortunately for women as much as for men, but I've learned to avert my eyes quickly from the women and focus on the men, who are often hot as hell.

 

MAKING CHANGES

Wonderful Matthew, who used to manage The Outbound Press and has gone back to school to do graduate work, came over the other day and tweaked this site so that it is now possible to find bondage stories by title and different bondage videos by producer without having to scroll through every story or video every time. Hit the “refresh” button on this page as well as in the “Bondage Stories” section and the “Bondage Videos” section if you don’t see those changes right away. Matthew’s done with school for the summer, and though he has another job, he’ll have more free time to help me during the next few months and hopefully continue to make this site prettier to look at and easier to navigate. By the way, the “Bondage Stories” page replaces what used to be the “Requested Stories” page. Before too much more time goes by, I’ll probably incorporate the “New True Life Stories”page into the bondage stories page, since a story’s a story, whether originally published in Bound & Gagged or more recently on this site. The change has inspired me to post the third installment of “Slave to Two Masters.” I hadn’t reread the series since I received and published it in the online edition of B&G back in 2000, and I’d forgotten how hot it was and much it turned me on then. I’m also not sure if I even ever read the 4th and 5th installments before. They appeared in our February 2002 online edition. I just found them in a computer search and have no memory of ever having read them, but they’re very, very hot. If you’re into master/slave action and ultra-heavy bondage, you’ll never find a story better than this one. If you’re good and ask respectfully, I’ll post installments 4 and 5 before too much more time goes by. Not all readers are into the master/slave scene, of course, as a recent e-mail attests:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hi guys, I guess I’m back.

This first posting is going to be mainly informative, bringing you up to date on what happened to Bound & Gagged and The Outbound Press, hopefully clarifying a lot of the things I told you when we closed shop last June. I’ll also tell you about the different items in the Outbound Press inventory that I’m offering for sale, both on this site and through eBay. Once you know how to navigate the various pages on this blogsite (believe me, it isn’t hard if I can do it), we’ll get down to the serious business of talking about bondage and posting new stories you send me and old stories you request and getting a bondage dialogue going between you and me.
