These photos came as a submission to one of our photo contests. They were obviously taken with a pre-digital film camera, so aren't as sharp as we're used to now. But I think you'll agree that the message still comes through loud and clear.

I was intrigued by some of the things this member had mentioned, and immediately wrote him asking for details about one important point in particular: In what position had he been kept tied up for three days and nights when he was dragged back on his ass after having tried to run away from his Master. I also asked him to give me one or more examples of some of the the 10,001 experiences he claimed to have had. This was his reply:

  

I’m sitting here in my kitchen sipping good but cheap Italian wine. I’m thinking while I massage my leather encased crotch and squeeze my left tit with the other. I live for leather and it sure smells nice, both my crotch and the leather. I can picture myself in some newsroom, sitting there with my leather confederate cap, black leather vest, cod piece and black boots, dreaming up an article for the bondage column. That would freak a lot of them out, especially if I was massaging my crotch and pinching my left tit.

My Best Experience

 

What has been my most satisfying scene? You don’t know how difficult that is to answer. If I was only a beginner that would be easy, but there have been many most satisfying scenes. Let me think....

 

On my master's 65th birthday I was invited to return home to Stockton for his birthday party. He did not know that I was coming (or should I say cum-ming?). His many friends had built a giant cardboard birthday cake. On it were 64 candles — the 65th was lit and secured to my cock (I was inside the cake). When he counted the candles he said, “There’s one missing,” & at that point I raised my arms through the top of the cake and stood up and said, “Here it is, can you blow it out?”

In the first years of the New York Bondage Club (the NYBC), every applicant was asked to fill out a questionnaire and, on separate sheets, to describe 1) his first awareness of and/or introduction to bondage, 2) his best experience, 3) his worst experience, and 4) his ideal fantasy experience—much the same thing I continued to do with the magazine, and continue to do with this blog to this date (have YOU written me yet?). I gave this questionnaire to New York club members, and also sent it to affiliate members, since the club quickly became so popular that I was inspired to create a newsletter of classified ads for guys living sometimes far from the city who hoped to meet travelers to their area or people closer to home for their bondage pursuits.

Three more short pieces from the newly discovered book manuscript. No pics for the second one, which is about childrens' games, though locking the legs around a tree in Capture the Flag deserves one. I saw the position illustrated once in a handbook put out by the U.S. military on incapacitating prisoners. Wish I knew what became of that book.

My first bondage experience happened at the baths in San Francisco. I walked into this guy’s room and we started wrestling around on the bed. The next thing I know my hands are tied behind my back. When I open up my mouth to say something, he shoves one of his sweatsocks in my mouth and ties a leather thong around to hold it in. In a matter of seconds he has my feet tied to my hands and before I could react I was helpless.

DVD Sale Extended

Somebody called it to my attention the other day that I neglected to say how I wanted payment for the DVDs on sale, which I planned to get rid of tomorrow, September 15th. Three short, never published pieces from the book I was putting together from responses to early NYBC applications, before I decided to put out a magazine. As always, the responses were to essay questions asking guys to write about the origins of their interests in bondage, their experiences and fantasies.

Bondage with Cigars

Here are some entries from an old B&G photo contest. Is that a cigar in the guy's mouth, or is it a cigarillo? And do some guys still get off as much on smoking as they used to? I ask that because smoking, especially cigar smoking, has never been my thing, and I'd really like to know. What is it about cigars that turns you on? And have you had any exciting bondage adventures with cigars recently?

In the book I intended to publish, before I started Bound & Gagged, my editing policy was always to retain as much as possible of a writer’s punctuation and spelling, as long as they weren’t simply typos, seemed the way the writer really meant to express himself, and were understandable.

 

This letter came to me in 1984, about three years after the advent of AIDS. I reckon that if this particular writer is still alive, he must be close to 100.
