A little over three years ago I posted a bunch of photos taken at IML 2005, when I locked my friend Perry onto a remarkable, beautifully-made spanking bench/stocks being exhibited there. I fell in love with the piece at once for its design and solidity, and the experience of being made totally helpless in it even for a few minutes while strangers he could never see came over and spanked his beautiful butt was unforgettable in its intensity for Perry.
In my post of November 13, 2009, I wrote, "I’d have published these photos in issue 107 of Bound & Gagged, with a word about the person who made the equipment, if there’d been an issue 107. Today, unfortunately, while I happily offer you the photos…I can’t remember anything about the equipment maker, not even his name. I’d love to learn that he’s still in business and making incredible restraint stuff like this. Does anyone know? Any info about him you can give me would be greatly appreciated."
Nobody ever came forward with info about the maker. And then, last Friday, he contacted me himself. In 2005 he'd made the equipment at the request of friends who were into bondage, though he himself was not. Soon afterwards, he left the country and put the bench/stocks and a standing cage, neither of which he'd sold at IML, into storage. He's been out of the country for a number of years and will soon be leaving again. While he sold the others he'd had on exhibit, he still has these two. He wondered if I might know of anyone who would want to buy them. His rock bottom prices, which seem pretty reasonable to me, are $1,500 for the bench/stocks, and $1,000 for the cage. Shipping costs are extra, though if you're in the Chicago area, those costs might be minimal.
Oh, a few details. The bench comes with three different wrist insert sizes, ranging from very small to quite large, with one in between. It weighs about 160 lbs. and separates into three pieces; these can be shipped individually.
As for the cage, here's what the maker tells me about it: "it can take a person 6'-3" tall without them bending over. It is 26" in diameter at the large ring, and the base has a diameter of 13". Also, it can be hung from the ceiling. I welded a hook in the top just for that purpose. Another thing: you can hang the cage, and any number of people either inside, or outside for that matter, and it will not fail.
It is fully welded steel, and I did the welding myself, and that is saying something. Most rigging will fail before my cage will."
Unfortunately, I can't buy the bench or the cage myself right now, though I'd sorely like to. I therefore put it to all of you out there. If any of you are interested, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with the maker.
