I can’t resist posting this e-mail, which I received a couple of weeks ago. It’s one reader’s reaction to my final posting on the Bound & Gagged website, in which I included an editorial I wrote way back in 1992, favorably comparing bright-eyed pornography with political sleaze.
I was moved by this reader’s puppy-dog devotion to a party that has never had anything but loathing for people like him.
His e-mail does raise some important questions, however, the primary one being: should real life get in the way of a gay Republican’s fun?
I thanked the writer for his thoughtful e-mail, told him I’d be putting it up on my website, and asked if he wanted me to include his e-mail address. Not having heard from him yet, I withhold it.
As a gay Republican, it sickens me to have to read crap like that even though it was over 12 years ago. 12 years of a Republican administration?
Well, you tell me what the hell that stupid moron Jimmy Carter ever did for the country except flush it down the toilet. We were humiliated around the world, inflation was out of control, taxes were up, interest rates were through the roof......and you had the fucking nerve to write that piece of crap?????????????
